Real Madrid failed to capitalise on Barcelona’s shock defeat after being humbled by Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan
Julen Lopetegui admits it was a bad night for Los Blancos after they suffered a 3-0 hammering at Sevilla.
All the damage was done in the first half, but Lopetegui was pleased his side were able to take command after the break.

“The problem is that Sevilla was a lot better than us, especially in the beginning of the match when they scored two goals.
“They were right and we should have been better. We couldn’t come to terms with that, they were the better side.”
Lopetegui added: “The second half was different, we were in command. We were trying to pull one back.
“We were creating chances but we couldn’t score. It’s been a bad game for us and excellent for Sevilla, and they were the right winners.
The former Spain boss says he won’t change the team’s preparation despite the upcoming Madrid derby against Atletico this weekend.
