Greek internationl and Borussia Dortmund star Sokratis Papastathopoulos will reportedly undergo his medical at Arsenal this week.
The Kicker are now claiming he will travel to London over the next few days to wrap up his move to the Emirates.
Sokratis, who has one year remaining on his Dortmund contract, is said to have already agreed personal terms with the Premier League club and is on the verge of becoming Unai Emery’s first Arsenal signing.
The Gunners are believed to be prioritising defensive reinforcements this summer, with reports elsewhere suggesting that Juventus full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner is also on his way to the Emirates Stadium.
The 29-year-old Greek international has been at Dortmund since joining from Werder Bremen in 2013.
He made almost 200 appearances for Dortmund since joining the club from Werder Bremen in 2013.
